Victoria and Kirill realised which island would be the ideal and most romantic choice for their island wedding, from the very first time they got to visit Santorini. So they decided to renew their wedding vows with the famous Santorini sunset as a backdrop and make their dream come true.

 

They did not want family and friends together, as they wanted a special moment ‘for two’. And if you ‘re wondering which is the best solution for a wedding with no guests, guess what, I have the answer.

 

Their dream did come true and they eloped, the two of them with the famous caldera taking their breath away. Nowadays they still believe in fairytales as they were lucky enough to live a movie scene. As Jasmine and Alladin used to do fully in love, they ‘stepped onto the magic carpet’ and took a romantic ride.

 

The girls of Santorini Bliss Wedding did an amazing job and planned everything so carefully. Getting to know them months before the elopement, there was no doubt about the excellent result they were going to  bring to life. Inspired by the Mediterranean weather and the sea-landic nature of Greece they created a unique theme using fresh lemons with blue details in order to create a multi colour tabletop. The girls wanted the couple to live the most romantic dinner ever in this iconic hotel view.

 

The result was extraordinary and the two cutties – including us – began believing in magic.

Mary and Louis had already been married a year before in Colombia but their dream wedding was a Greek island wedding. This is why Louis decided to choose the iconic island of Santorini, one of the most well-noted Cycladic islands, to surprise her and get married once again. This time with the spectacular Aegean Sea behind them. What Louis did not expect was that Mary already knew he had all these Santorini wedding plans. As a result, she had already reshaped her first wedding Juan Pablo Socarras gown, in order to be a Santorini match! And indeed, she was a real goddess!

 

They discovered me through Instagram and from the very first time, I adored them for the sincerity and kindness they showed. When we finally met, one day before the shoot, I advised them to express all the great feelings they share for each other and share with me their real relationship. They did so and this is why their gallery was a dream come true!

 

They chose Volcano View Hotel for their preparations, separately as tradition says. What I advice every couple is to choose a close to the ceremony preparation venue, so as they did. They chose Volcano View Hotel for the ceremony, too. Because of the time we saved, we decided to do a first look portrait session right before the ceremony. Strolling around the traditional Imerovigli Village, I created some magical portraits that will make them remember this special day forever.

 

Walking around the island, sharing some Ouzo shots, they danced on their favourite tunes. A few ‘portraits’ later, we returned to the ceremony venue. Although the ceremony wasn’t the biggest one, it was emotionally charged as the passion and love for each other was beyond any expectations. The dinner was out of a Disney fairytale as the view continued to be magnificent and the dreamy sunset continued to make Mary more and more happy. For sure, moments and memories she will never forget.

As an animal lover, this shoot began in the prettiest of ways. Two beautiful horses, as the main characters! Then beautiful Kiara and her beloved Jake walked into the scenery, and all you could see was honest feelings of love. The floral arrangements of the day were Studio 7 creations. The bridal gown was an amazing creation of Costarellos bridal while Jake in his Truman clothiers, looked like the summer island version of James Bond.

 

The greatest images of the day were the ones they shared their real bond, their real feelings, and this is what I try to share with all my couples. Under the colourful coral arch, kissing and hugging… Such a romantic image… Romance is the most precious ingredient for a successful wedding. Walking hand in hand holding the beloved horses while waves were crushing the black Santorini rocks.

As I love saying lately, Santorini is the ‘Gold island’. A true blessing for everyone that has visited her. It has the greatest and kindest climate and, oh my god, this gold light…

 

When a couple tends to get married in the mainland I always love suggesting a quick visit to Santorini for a next day editorial portrait session. But when an elopement stops by my mail, believe me, I cannot wait till the day I’ll shoot it.

 

This two brides intimate wedding inspiration will make you dream of fancy eras and great architecture in one of Mick Jagger’s favourite places back in the 70’s. Oh yes, Mick Jagger was a great fan of Rocabella Hotel’s view and used to visit Santorini for this particular reason, for the greatest sunsets of all.

 

Isabel and Amelia chose Crochelle’s gowns to walk into and Julia & Evita was there to create an absolute magic for their big day. They styled this elopement inspiration with such a delicate taste that even the biggest magazines would be jealous of. Especially this stained glass vitraux inspired arch, created by mother and daughter team, is something that will truly inspire many planners worldwide.

 

Colours always made my mind ‘travel’, and Betty Flowers Santorini was there to create the most amazing floral arrangements, combining all the colour palette with roses and pampas grass. What could match best? The amazing vitraux inspired three floor cake, of course.
